Hope Centers

Cy-Hope Hope Centers create “community centers” in underserved neighborhoods where kids can come after school and during the summers to work on tutoring, learn life skills, and receive mentoring. Hope Centers also provide help with reading with a goal of every student reading at or above grade level. Statistics show that students who are not reading at or above grade level by the time they reach third grade have a greater chance of dropping out of school. Cy-Hope currently has Hope Centers in a mobile home community, two apartment complexes, and a church community center. Our Mobile Hope Center offers STEM education to children throughout our community. Read more about our mobile hope center, as featured in the Houston Chronicle.

Statistics show that students who are not reading at or above grade level by the time they reach third grade have a greater chance of dropping out of school. In 2022, Cy-Hope launched "CREW," a literacy program for K-2nd grade students to help them achieve the ability to read at grade level - and enjoy it too!

The “Center for Reading Enrichment and Writing” takes a fun approach to learning with literacy-boosting games, interactive activities, crafts, creative storytelling, and more. The program currently operates in two Hope Centers, with plans to expand!

Our Hope Centers are always in need of special items.  If you would like to donate, please check out our wish list.  All donations can be brought to our Cy-Hope Headquarters at 12715 Telge Road.
