On October 13, 2026, our box truck was stolen from the locked parking lot at The Hope Chest Resale Market in Katy. This is more than the loss of a vehicle. The truck plays an important role in our daily operations, helping us pick up and deliver the large donations that support our programs and services.
The Hope Chest Resale Market is a vital source of funding for Cy-Hope’s programs. Our truck allows us to collect donated furniture and other large items that are sold at the market, with proceeds helping fund our mission. It also helps us transport large food donations for our feeding program, allowing us to get food where it needs to go.
We need to purchase a replacement truck and outfit it with a new wrap so we can get back to serving our community. Even if the stolen vehicle is recovered, essential parts may be missing, and significant repairs may still be needed.
