Thorough Screening & Training

• Every staff member and volunteer undergoes a background check and reference review.

• Program Directors carefully screen and approve all individuals working with children.

• All team members follow Cy-Hope’s Code of Ethics, ensuring respectful and positive interactions.

Safe Interaction Guidelines

• Adults follow the "Two Adult Rule", ensuring no child is left alone with one adult whenever possible.

• Overnight trips require background-checked chaperones and gender-appropriate supervision.

• Off-campus activities must be pre-approved and communicated to parents.

Incident Response & Reporting

• Any signs of abuse or safety concerns are reported immediately to leadership.

• Injuries, no matter how minor, are documented and communicated to parents when necessary.

• We have clear action steps in place to address any allegations or concerns swiftly and appropriately.
